Jason D. Butler, PhD, RDT/BCT
Jason is a Registered Drama Therapist, Board Certified Trainer and Licensed Creative Arts Therapist.  He is the past President of the North American Drama Therapy Association (NADTA) and holds a PhD in Interdisciplinary Studies from Concordia University as well as an MA in Drama Therapy from New York University, an MA in Educational Counseling from the University of Phoenix and is a graduate of the Institute for Developmental Transformations.  He is an Associate Professor at Lesley University in Cambridge, Massachusetts in the Expressive Therapies Division and is the coordinator of the drama therapy program.  Jason is also the Training Director for DvT Montreal, a satellite of the Institute for Developmental Transformations.  Before moving to Cambridge, Jason was an Assistant Professor at Concordia University in the Creative Arts Therapies Department and had a private practice.  Prior to Montreal, Jason was the director of The Other Place, a psychosocial program for homelessness and mental illness in New York City.  While there he was an adjunct professor at NYU in the Drama Therapy Program and maintained a private practice. He served for four years as the Communications Chair for the NADTA.  Prior to becoming a drama therapist Jason taught high school theatre at Granger High School in West Valley City, Utah.
